Process and information

  • Meeting point: 9.30 am, half an hour before the course starts at 10 am on windless days at the center. After a 20-minute theory session, you can paddle on your own, the instructor will of course come with you to give you the best tips on body use and paddling technique during these two hours. The basic course lasts a total of 2 hours.

  • You don’t need your own equipment for the SUP course. Just bring your swimsuit, sun protection and something to drink. We will provide you with the following equipment during the course:

    • SUP Board
    • Paddle
    • Wetsuit on request
    • Life jacket on request
    • Shoes on request

  • You don’t need any special requirements or knowledge to learn stand-up paddling. However, you must be able to swim safely.

  • On particularly windless days, we recommend exploring the offshore island of “Ilhe du Sal Rei” on a SUP board. You can spot lots of fish and even turtles in the particularly beautiful clear water and, if you like, take a break on the island – it’s definitely worth it.
