Process and information

  • Meeting point: 30 minutes before the course starts! The course starts at 10 a.m.

    • On the 1st day, in a theory part on land (approximate duration 15 – 30 minutes), we explain the material, basic concepts such as luffing and bearing away, tacking and sailing position, etc., and the movement sequences. Afterward, you will go on the water for the first time with the aim of being able to ride immediately on day 1 under supervision.
    • On day 2, we pay attention to your riding position and practice running upwind, also known as crossing. The aim of this day is for you to return to your starting point independently.
    • Day 3 is the maneuvering day, on which you will learn how to tack and jibe.
    • On the 4th day, you will practice what you have learned with targeted improvements, depending on your personal sailing ability.
  • You don’t need your own equipment for the windsurfing course. Just bring your swimsuit and sun protection.
We will provide you with the following equipment during the course:

    • Windsurf ooard
    • Windsurf sail
    • Neoprene wetsuit
    • Llife jacket
    • Shoes according to preference
    • Hat and gloves available on request

The course unit lasts a maximum of 3 hours per session with a maximum of 6-8 students. If there are fewer than 3 students, the duration is reduced according to the number of participants.

There is no age limit for this course.

  • You don’t need any special requirements or knowledge to learn windsurfing. You just need to be able to swim safely.

  • We recommend that you book a 4-day course, what is the average time you need to get a good feel for this sport and have fun. If you need more course days, you can book them one day at a time at a reduced price. If you want to get a taste of whether you like windsurfing in general, you can of course book just one trial day. We also recommend that you take the VDWS windsurfing license at the same time, as you will learn a little more about the rules of water sports and can confirm your basic knowledge at any time if you want to rent windsurfing equipment from another school, for example. It is also an advantage from an insurance point of view if you have a “driver’s license”.
